Price list and standard terms and conditions

Elering implemented an updated electricity transmission service price list from 5 May 2026, which was approved by the Competition Authority on 1 February 2026 with the decision no. 7-3/2026-025.

Change in the calculation of network fees for customers whose installation is connected to energy storage unit(s)

On 1 January 2026, an amendment to the Electricity Market Act will enter into force, pursuant to § 71 section 10¹ of the Act, under which no transmission charge shall be applied during the storage period to the quantity of electrical energy returned to the electricity network during the same period* for electrical energy stored from the electricity network in an energy storage unit, provided that at least one of the conditions set out in points 1–4 of § 59² section 10 of the Electricity Market Act is fulfilled.

* storage period - § 3, clause 22⁴ , provides that the storage period is a calendar month during which the electrical energy taken from the electricity network and returned to the electricity network is considered stored electrical energy.

PLEASE NOTE! All of the above conditions apply to energy storage units whose connection to the electricity network has been agreed in a network agreement concluded with Elering or in an agreement on temporary use of a network connection. If the required agreement or arrangement has not been concluded, the connection process must be initiated in order to add the storage unit, detailed information on which is available on Elering’s website.

Standard terms and conditions

From 1 January 2024, Elering implements new standard terms and conditions for electricity network contracts and a new transmission service price list based on them. The Competition Authority approved the new price list on 28 September 2023 and the standard terms and conditions on 14 November 2023.

Voltage control

Elering compensates 0.088 euro cents per kVarh for the injected and withdrawn reactive power in the connection point by power plants, which are connected to the transmission grid and have signed a voltage control service contract. Additional information is available here.
